Ask Whisk (AI Business Assistant)

Ask Whisk is an AI assistant included with Studio Pro (a paid or gifted Studio Pro plan, or an active Studio Pro trial). It answers questions about your own bakery using the business records in your WhiskManager account. Eligibility is checked on every question; Cottage plans and ended trials or subscriptions don't include Ask Whisk.

Studio Pro includes 150 Ask Whisk questions per calendar month. The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each month (the app shows this in your local time). Unused questions don't roll over and have no cash value. Questions about how to use WhiskManager are sent to the Help Center and don't use a question. Up to 50 answers a month that only ask what you mean, or explain what Ask Whisk can't do, aren't counted, and questions that fail because of a technical problem aren't counted. We may change the allowance or how questions are counted with notice.

Ask Whisk is read-only. It can only read your own account's records; it can't create, change, delete, send or buy anything, and it can't access other accounts.

Ask Whisk's answers are generated with AI from your records and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check important details against your records in WhiskManager before you rely on them, especially for pricing, payments, taxes, scheduling, food safety or other business and financial decisions. Answers are informational only and are not professional advice, and you remain responsible for your business decisions.

To protect the service, we apply reasonable usage safeguards, such as one question at a time, limits on questions per minute and a monthly safety limit on AI use. When a safeguard applies, typed questions may be paused while suggested questions keep working. Ask Whisk relies on third-party AI providers, so it may be slow, limited or unavailable during their outages or maintenance, or when we pause it to protect the service. We may change, suspend or discontinue Ask Whisk features. Don't misuse Ask Whisk, for example by automating questions, trying to get around its limits or safeguards, or trying to make it reveal information from other accounts.

Advertising, Cookies and Your Choices

We advertise WhiskManager on Facebook and Instagram. To measure those ads, our public marketing pages (such as our homepage, features, pricing calculator, comparisons, FAQ, blog and cottage food law pages) can use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms. When it runs, it uses cookies and similar technologies to tell Meta which of these pages you viewed (the page address, including ad tracking tags such as Meta's click identifier, and the page that referred you), together with technical details such as your IP address, browser and device, and Meta's own cookie identifiers.

When someone who signed up on our website confirms a new account, and only if their privacy choices allow it, our server tells Meta that a registration and, where applicable, a free trial started, with their times, a scrambled (hashed) copy of the account's email address and account ID, the IP address and browser details of that request, and Meta's cookie identifiers if they are present. Meta uses this information to measure and improve our ads and may also use it as described in its own terms and privacy policy. We keep a record of whether an account's signup was reported or withdrawn (the account ID, how permission was confirmed, which events and when) for as long as the account exists, so it is never reported twice.

We never use Meta advertising tools on bakers' shops, inquiry forms, invoices or customer portals, on sign-in or password pages, or inside the WhiskManager app, and we never share bakers' business data or information about their customers with Meta for advertising.

Your choices: we don't use these tools unless you choose "Allow" on the notice shown on our marketing pages. You never need to allow them to browse our site, create an account or start a free trial. You can change your mind at any time with "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" at the bottom of our marketing pages or in this policy; opting out stops this advertising measurement for that browser, removes Meta's cookies from it and, if you are signed in, also cancels any signup report not yet sent. Some US state privacy laws may treat this advertising measurement as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out, even if you chose "Allow" before. A choice applies to the browser where you make it. You can also manage your ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

Ask Whisk (AI Business Assistant)

When you ask Ask Whisk a question, WhiskManager looks up the records in your own account that relate to it (for example orders, customers, inquiries and quotes, calendar tasks, recipes, inventory and shopping lists) and uses AI to write the answer. Ask Whisk only uses your account's records and can't read other accounts.

To write an answer, we send our AI service providers your question, up to your three previous questions in the same conversation, and the relevant information from your records, such as customer names, order numbers, event dates and types, order statuses, totals and balances, calendar task titles, recipe names and costs, and inventory and shopping-list items. We don't send customers' email addresses, phone numbers or delivery addresses, order notes or message contents, but anything you type into a question is sent as you wrote it. Our AI providers are currently Lovable, through its AI Gateway, and Google, whose Gemini models write the answers. They process this information to provide Ask Whisk under terms that restrict how they may use it, and may keep it for a limited period for security, abuse prevention and service operation as described in their own policies. We don't use your Ask Whisk questions or records to train AI models.

Your Ask Whisk conversation (your questions and the answers) is kept only in your browser tab and is cleared when you close the tab; WhiskManager doesn't store it on our servers. For each question we keep a request record for 90 days, after which it is deleted. It contains technical details (time, status, which lookups ran, how many records were used, AI usage, token counts, estimated cost and error codes) and, to help us improve Ask Whisk, a short summary of what the question was about (for example "Check upcoming orders"), a topic and whether it was answered. These summaries never include contact details or numbers such as amounts, though a customer's name can occasionally appear. Our team sees them only in admin reports that don't show which account asked. Your monthly question count is kept with your account's other usage records.

12. Text Messages (SMS)

Bakeries using Whisk Manager can text their own customers who opt in, whether on the bakery's Whisk checkout or inquiry form, through its Whisk text-updates link, or by giving the bakery consent directly (in person, by phone or in writing) that the bakery records in Whisk, and customers who text the bakery's Whisk texting number. Whisk Manager stores those messages, the customer's mobile number and the consent record (when, where and the wording agreed to) so the bakery can provide the transactional and customer-care messages requested.

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes. They are shared only with the service providers needed to deliver the messages (such as our SMS carrier provider) and as required by law.

Reply STOP to a bakery's texts to stop them however you opted in, START to opt back in, or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms for details.
