Custom Order Agreement & Terms
Thank you for choosing Mimi's Cookie Co.! I am honored to be part of your special celebrations and appreciate the opportunity to create custom cookies and treats for your events. Please review the following terms before placing your order.
Ordering & Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your order on the Mimi's Cookie Co. baking calendar.
Orders are not considered confirmed until payment has been received.
Pricing is based on the size, quantity, design complexity, customization, and time required to complete your order.
Custom Designs
Each cookie is handmade and individually decorated.
Due to the handcrafted nature of custom cookies, designs may vary slightly from inspiration photos or requested themes.
Colors, details, placement, and decorative elements may differ slightly while maintaining the overall design concept.
Mimi's Cookie Co. reserves the right to use artistic creativity and professional judgment when creating each order.
Changes to Orders
Changes requested after an order has been confirmed may not be possible depending on the production schedule.
If changes can be accommodated, additional fees may apply.
Changes to quantity, design, colors, or event details are not guaranteed once production has begun.
Cancellations & Refunds
Because custom cookies are created specifically for each customer, cancellations and refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Once baking or decorating has begun, refunds may not be available.
If Mimi's Cookie Co. must cancel an order due to circumstances within our control, a refund will be issued.
Pickup
Customers are responsible for picking up their order at the agreed-upon date and time.
Orders should be inspected at pickup. Once the order has been accepted, responsibility for the condition of the products transfers to the customer.
Mimi's Cookie Co. is not responsible for damage that occurs after pickup.
Weather & Force Majeure
Mimi's Cookie Co. is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to fulfill an order due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These circumstances may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, natural disasters, power outages, flooding, fire, illness, government restrictions, transportation issues, supply shortages, or other unforeseen emergencies.
If an event beyond our control affects your order, Mimi's Cookie Co. will make every reasonable effort to notify you promptly and work with you on a possible solution, which may include rescheduling, adjusting delivery or pickup arrangements, or issuing a refund based on the circumstances and stage of production.
The safety of customers, vendors, and our community will always be a priority when making decisions during emergency situations.
Product Care
Cookies should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
For best quality, enjoy cookies within one week or freeze in an airtight container for longer storage.
Mimi's Cookie Co. is not responsible for product quality after pickup or delivery once proper storage instructions have been provided.
Allergens
Products are prepared in a home kitchen operating under Illinois Cottage Food laws. While every effort is made to maintain a clean baking environment and prevent cross-contact, products may contain or come into contact with common allergens including wheat, eggs, milk, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, and other allergens.
Photography & Marketing
Mimi's Cookie Co. reserves the right to photograph completed orders and use images for marketing, social media, website content, advertising, and portfolio purposes unless the customer requests otherwise in writing before pickup or delivery.
Right to Refuse Service
Mimi's Cookie Co. reserves the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to:
Requests for designs that include offensive, hateful, inappropriate, or unsafe content.
Designs that infringe upon copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights.
Requests that cannot be completed within the required timeframe or do not align with Mimi's Cookie Co.'s policies.
Customer behavior that is disrespectful, threatening, or inappropriate.
If service is refused after payment has been received, any refund consideration will be handled based on the circumstances and whether work has already begun.
Limitation of Liability
Mimi's Cookie Co. is not responsible for damage to products after pickup or delivery has been completed. In the event of any claim related to an order, Mimi's Cookie Co.'s liability will not exceed the total amount paid for the order.
